Zachary grew up in Kamloops, BC and moved to Kelowna in 2015 to begin his studies at the University of British Columbia. He is working towards his BASc in mechanical engineering and is planning to graduate in May 2020. His grandpa had two heart valve replacements which served as his initial inspiration to get into the biomedical engineering field. He joined the heart valve performance laboratory to gain experience in the field of biomedical research.
Zachary wants to further his education into the biomedical field by completing a Masters in Applied Science after completing his undergraduate studies. His future goals are to design medical devices/prostheses to help those in need.
